I absolutely love these boots, I got lucky. They look good, feel good and warm, heavy duty soles and easy to put on. I was just going to wear in snow but find myself wearing them everywhere.

so far, so good (3 weeks in...)

I've only worn these about 4 times, but so far so good. I chose them because I saw another reviewer note casual walking as well as hiking in them, including falling into a frozen lake, and they stayed relatively waterproof. I have not tested those limits yet but after a few more weeks of winter in Wyoming, maybe I'll know. I haven't worn them in a heavy snow storm but for walking around icy and wet sidewalks, they have held up well and still look like new. I ordered a half size up (8) as many people suggested, and they fit fine, but I might have been able to get away with my regular size 7.5
