Giving a try to a new style (for me)

I typically would go for a cowboy style boot with shafts and thought that this might be a little more convenient for any type of pant I choose to wear. I do like the style, looks nearly like a boot when I look down and they are quite comfortable. I've even worn them out on cold nights to football games and my feet never did seem to get too cold. being "shaft-less" has been kind of nice too, don't struggle with getting the seam of the jeans over the shafts makes putting them on quick and easy. The composite toe helps the boot to remain fairly light as well. Probably the only negatives for me is that I think I will be putting a new cushion in the foot bed... just seems to become a little uncomfortable to me, but I've spent a lot of time in the boots on the concrete floor immediately after I put them on and they are slightly big for what I ordered.. not quite a 1/2 size too big. All in all, I would buy them again.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not for me

I tried these on at home and walked around the house for a little bit and decided to return them so I cannot give any information about durability. These were not for me as they did not feel supportive and did not have enough padding either. The fit was just wrong. Marks return was easy and I give Marks 5 stars.

Ok boots of moisture didn't get trapped in sole

Water / moisture gets between sole and creates a squishing sound from the water and air trapped in rubber sole.

design defect leads to wet feet....

The soles crack along the coloured inlay, allowing water to infiltrate the boot. I had bought a pair, and within 6 months this occured. Feet started to feel damp often. I chalked it up to sweat until I heard the squishing sound and found the cracks. I liked the boots other than that so, assuming it was a one off defect, I bought another pair. 6 months later same issue. Based on other reviews here and elsewhere, this is a common problem. As I said, other than this issue, the boots are great, but if you cannot step into a 1/4" deep puddle without your feet getting wet, a boot isn't worth 2 cents. I reached out to Marks and advised that they probably shouldn't be selling a boot that has a obvious defect. Looks like they don't care.
